The Skadi Tour
While visiting schools and to raise awareness, Hali and Greg — the father-daughter duo behind the Tidbits of Change Foundation — have embarked on another adventure of their own, visiting every ski area in Western Canada. During the 2024 season, they skied all 44 lift-serviced ski areas in British Columbia in just 42 days — believed to be the first time the feat has been completed in a single winter.
The following year they skied all 39 ski areas in Alberta in just over three weeks, and in early 2026 they ventured east to Saskatchewan, visiting every ski area, 11 in total, while discovering the rich stories of these close-knit ski communities. By day they explored the hills, and by afternoon and evening they visited schools and organizations to meet with students, parents, teachers, and others to share the foundation's youth bursaries program and encourage young Canadians to pursue their own projects with a parent or mentor.
The Cycle of Life: A 15-Year Coast-to-Coast Journey
Father and Son book shines light on the importance of cultivating connections and embracing a spirit of adventure
On a milestone tenth birthday, Greg Scott and his son put into motion what became a remarkable cross-Canada journey. The two ceremoniously dipped their bicycle tires in the Pacific Ocean and pedalled east as far as a young boy's legs and a little bike could handle. One year later, they picked up from the exact spot where they left off and pushed on eastward. They continued in that same fashion each summer for fifteen years, with their sights set on making it to the Atlantic Ocean to dip their tires again.
The Cycle of Life shines light on the importance of cultivating connections and embracing a spirit of adventure. It gives us insight into treasuring one-on-one time and the value of sharing stories with our kids. Through ten provinces, five and a half time zones, and seven thousand kilometres, the duo uncover surprising Canadian quirks and tidbits. They tackle mountain passes, abandoned railways, and ghost towns. The pair cope with the elements of intense storms, tough prairie winds, and bicycling snow-outs. They navigate flat tires and bear chasings, bond over pies and poutine, and witness Great Lakes sunrises and 27 tides. Joyfully watching his son grow on the ride of a lifetime, the journey illustrates how a parent can embrace the inevitable passing of the pacesetting torch from one generation to the next.

Trade Up Challenge
What if one simple trade could help change a young person’s life?
The Trade Up Challenge is an ongoing barter campaign with a bold goal: transform a single item into a $5,000 Youth Bursary. Starting with one donated item, we continue trading up—each exchange building toward something bigger and more valuable than before. Along the way, we’ve traded everything from outdoor gear and luxury items to unforgettable vacation experiences. Once we reach our goal, the final item is converted into a bursary awarded to an inspiring Canadian youth who has completed a meaningful project or initiative alongside a parent or mentor.
Follow us on Instagram @tidbitsofchange to watch the journey unfold, pitch a trade, and help us create opportunities for the next generation of changemakers.
